Nate Millheim is the Executive Director of Shalom of Oakland. He is married to Andrea and they have three wonderful children: Kayla, Chase and Ava. Prior to moving to Oakland Nate served as a Director at ReIMAGINE in San Francisco and before that as the Pastor of Students at Creekside Community Church in Alamo. He graduated with a degree in Ministry from Simpson University. He enjoys playing basketball, lifting weights, serving as the Vice-Chair of the local NCPC (Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council) in East Oakland and serving on the Board of EMMA (East MacArthur Merchants Association). Pastor Joe Bishop
Joe is currently on staff focusing on marriage and families with young children at Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz, CA and has served as a Pastor at numerous churches in California and Ohio. Joe is an experienced Counselor with a passion to train Christians as lay counselors in local congregations. In his spare time Joe is working towards a Ph.D. in Counseling.
Pastor Jose Figueroa
José serves as Pastor of Community Development for Christ Church and Project Peace. José has 10 years of experience providing spiritual care and social services to youth and their families from multiethnic/multilingual backgrounds in local parish and non-profit settings, most recently as Spiritual Care Coordinator at George Mark Children's House.
José is an ordained Presbyterian minister. Before entering the pastorate José worked as an electrical engineer for the United Status Navy in Washington, DC. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988, and a Master's of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 2002. He and his family relocated to the East Bay from Miami, FL where he served as an associate pastor and a chaplain at the University of Miami.
W. Brian Fuery, CPA
Brian Fuery is currently Chief Executive Officer and Director of US Cancer Management Corporation. Brian was Chief Executive Officer of Oncure Technologies Inc. (formerly US Cancer Care Inc.) from 1990 to November 2000, when he began the initial setup of US Cancer Management. Brian is a Certified Public Accountant. Brian has served on the Elder Board for Creekside Community Church and is a popular and respected teacher in Bible studies and classes at Creekside. He has also served on the Board of Becoming What God Intended Ministries and Unveiled Ministries.
Reverend Harry Louis Williams II
Reverend Harry Louis Williams, II was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in Asbury Park, N.J. He was a hip hop artist signed to Pow Wow/London Records in the 1980s. Williams was licensed to the Christian ministry under Bishop Dr. Donald, Hilliard, Jr. of Cathedral International, Perth Amboy, N.J. in 1997. He was ordained through the Progressive National Baptist Convention under Reverend Dr. J. Alfred Smith Sr. of the Allen Temple Baptist Church, Oakland, CA in 2002. Williams graduated from Kean University, Union, Jr. with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1996. He majored in Philosophy and Religion. In 2000, He received his Master of Divinity degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Palmer Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, PA). Today, he lives in Oakland, California. He is a social case manager serving the homeless, recent immigrants, the economically ship wrecked, survivors of domestic violence, victims of violent crime, those wrestling with drug abuse and mental illness as well as ex-felons. He also serves as a member of the Allen Temple Baptist Church prison outreach team. He is C.E.O. of Soul Shaker Publishing Reverend Williams is an author, publisher, a motivational speaker, an evangelist and a lecturer specializing in social justice, and urban issues.
Damon Snyder
Damon is currently a Senior Engineer at Huddler.com. He was previously the Tech Lead at Carsala. Damon has also been on staff at ReIMAGINE. ReIMAGINE is a Bay Area Center for Life Integration based in San Francisco, fueling initiatives integrating spiritual formation, community building, the arts and social action. Damon has a Masters in Computer Science from Florida State University.
He resides in Oakland with his wife Alice and daughter Alexis. In his spare time Damon rides his bike, reads Dostoevsky novels and enjoys fine wine and coffee.
